My aim when photographing families is to capture two primary aspects: relationships and the character of each family member. These photographs should illustrate the synergy of the family. I focus on the complex interactions that family members have with one another, and how each individual would want to be represented.

This can be achieved through both candid and posed photographs. I take the time to communicate with my clients and determine what they are hoping to have documented.

My sessions are very relaxed, and go at your own pace. It is incredibly important to me that you feel comfortable.I do this to make sure everybody feels at ease and is enjoying the process.

During this time, I try to capture moments between family members as well as characterize each family member separately from the group as a whole.
